Getting this right is essential for a successful ride during your surf experience in Fuerteventura. Here are three clear and simple steps to help you perfect your foot placement and make the most out of every wave:
Step 1: Finding Your Sweet Spot
*Lie on your board, aligning your body with its center.
*Place your hands on the rails for balance.
*Slide your body forward, making sure your chest is over the board's center.
Step 2: Popping Up with Precision
*Place your hands flat on the board, just below your shoulders.
*Push your upper body up while simultaneously bringing your knees underneath you.
*Position your front foot between your hands, in line with the board's center.
Step 3: Balanced Stance
*Place your back foot firmly on the tail of the board.
*Bend your knees slightly for stability.
*Keep your weight centered, and your gaze forward on the horizon.
